§ 2.28.030. General powers and duties—Fire protection.

  • In the unincorporated territory of the county which is outside the boundaries of any fire protection district, the director shall perform all duties imposed by state law or county ordinances upon the fire warden; he shall enforce and administer the provisions of state law, and ordinances not inconsistent therewith, pertaining to the extinguishing, preventing, eliminating or minimizing fires or fire hazards. For such purposes the director shall enforce and administer the provisions of Chapter 6.04 of the Alameda County General Ordinance Code and all applicable state laws authorized by this section; in the enforcement of such he shall have the power of a peace officer.
